1. Developed and submitted by the State Committee of standards of the USSR. 2. Approved and put into effect by the Resolution of State Committee of standards of the USSR of February 26, 1979 N 1130. 3. Instead of GOST 14068-68. 4. Reference normative and technical documents.
5. The term limit was lifted by the Resolution of the State standard of August 27, 1992 N 1035. 6. Edition with Changes N 1, 2, 3 approved in August 1982, in June 1987 (ИУС 12-82,9-87). This standard applies on the VNII NP-232 paste intended to lubricate spline connections and running threads at temperature from up to 300 Celsius degree for threaded connections, for fixed during operating of an aggregate up to plus 400 Celsius degree. It’s allowed to use the paste for slow-moving heavy-loaded sliding and rolling friction units and for running-in of friction units details. 1. Specifications 1.1 The grease must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard, according to technological regulations and from components which applied during producing of grease samples passed state tests with positive results and were approved for using in established order. 1.2 According to physical and chemical indicators, the VNII NP-232 paste must comply with the requirements and standards are represented below:
(Revised version, Ed. N 2). 1.3 The release of the liquid phase on the paste surface during storage isn’t a rejection sign. When releasing of the liquid phase before use the paste VNII NP-232 is mixed until homogeneous mass is obtained. 2. Safety requirement 2.1 The paste VNII NP-232 is a low-toxic product, because molybdenum disulfide is in a powdery state, it doesn’t penetrate the skin and doesn’t cause irritation. 2.2 While operate with the grease must apply personal protective equipment according to the industry standards approved in the established order. (Revised version, Ed. N 2). 2.3 (Excluded, Ed. N 2). 2.4 The maximum permissible concentration of hydrocarbon vapors in the air of production room is 300 mg/m. 2.5 The maximum permissible concentration of oil mist in the air environment of production room is 5 mg/m. 2.6 The paste VNII NP-232 is a combustible product of IV group, as it contains a component with a flash point of 158 Celsius degree and self-ignition temperature of 320 Celsius degree. 2.7 In case of ignites, of the grease the following fire extinguishing means are applicable: carbo dioxide, the composition of compressed liquid bromine ethyl, the composition of 3.5 and superheated steam. 2.8 The room in which are carried out of works with paste must be equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation. 3. Acceptance rules 3.1 The paste VNII NP-232 is taken in batches. A batch is considered to be a quantity of grease weighting up to 120 kg produced during continuous technological cycle according to an approved technology, homogeneous on the quality indicators and component composition, accompanied by a quality document. (Revised version, Ed. N 2). 3.2 The volume of samples is determined according to GOST 2517. 3.3 If unsatisfactory test results are obtained for at least one indicator, repeated tests are performed on a newly selected sample take from the same sample. The results of repeated tests are distributed to the entire batch. (Revised version, Ed. N 2). 3.4 The penetration is determined for paste intended for export. (Entered additionally, Ed. N 2). 4. Test methods 4.1 Samples of the VNII NP-232 paste are taken according to GOST 2517. The mass of the combined sample is 1 kg of paste. 4.2 To determine the appearance and color, the grease is applied with a spatula on a glass plate according GOST 111 size 50x70x2 mm using a template (internal dimensional 35x35 mm, thick 2 mm) and viewed with the naked eye in passing light. 4.1, 4.2 (Revised version, Ed. N 1). 4.3 Corrosion test is carried out on a steel plate grade Ст45 according to GOST 1050. The appearance on the plates of discoloration isn’t a rejection sign. 5. Packing, labeling, transportation and storage 5.1 Packing, labeling, transportation and storage of the grease is carried out according to GOST 1510. The paste is packed in cans made of white tin with a capacity of up to 18 dm, or in banks made with white tin with a capacity of up 0,7 dm according to GOST 6128. (Revised version, Ed. N 2). 6. Manufacturer’s guarantee 6.1 The manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the grease the requirements of this standard if the storage and transportation conditions are met. 6.2 The warranty period for storing of the paste is 5 years from the day of manufacture. 6.1, 6.2 (Revised version, Ed. N 1). |
