AVGAS-100LL
ELC MISCOM, LLC has concluded the direct contract for the supply of AVGAS-100LL aviation gasoline under DEF STAN 91-90 with SHELL.
Production quality control is carried out by FGUE State scientific-research Institute of the Civil aviation with the issuance of a conclusion and a quality passport. Delivery and sales are carried out from the company warehouse. Shipment is carried out by railway, tanker trucks and in the barrels. Here you are able to buy AVGAS-100LL aviation gasoline. |

AVGAS-100LL aviation gasoline is an analog of the B-91/115 gasoline
|
Aviation fuel (aviation gasoline) AVGAS-100LL (“Aviation gasoline” Avgas) “SHELL Aviation” exceeds the requirements of well-known international standards and specifications. The basic principle of operation of piston engines is the same as in spark ignition automobile engines, but the performance requirements are much higher. In modern General aviation only two main grades of aviation gasoline AVGAS are used: 100 and 100LL with a low contents of tetraethyl lead – this rationalization allows to petroleum companies to be operate profitably in the market.

|
What is difference between aviation and automobile gasoline? And why can’t be used in piston engines if it’s cheaper?
|
Guaranteed stability of component and physical characteristics.
In addition, lead is still added to AVGAS-100LL.
Main difference between automobile and aviation gasoline – boil temperature, more accurately, saturated steam pressure. Automobile gasoline is much more easily boiling. The use of such gasoline in an airplane at high ambient temperatures and at high altitude is fraught with the formation of a steam plug in the carburetor. So many bulletins that allow the use of gasoline on a specific type of aircraft, limit the maximum air temperature at which it can be used.
From a technological point of view, aviation gasoline is much more difficult to produce – and therefore more expensive.
Those of the piston automobile engines that are normally designed to work on the AVGAS-100LL, sometimes have a special certificate for application automobile gasoline. But, even with such a document, reasonable persons prefer to pour a mixture into these engines. contentsed from 15% to 50%, gasoline with an octane rating – 92 (depending of engine type, weather and human greed). In summer it’s necessary condition. In practice, the temperature of the cylinder heads jumps. Another danger – now often meets the gasoline with ethanol additives. For airplanes, it is unacceptable because of the low altitude (boiling point of ethanol is lower).
