Roller bearings of electro machines, control systems and devices with a rotation speed of up 10000 min-1, aggregate bearings of aircraft, friction units and “metal-rubber” conjugated surfaces operating in vacuum. Insoluble in water, hygroscopic and it saves stability during boiling. When absorbing of moisture, it’s seals, has the low anti-wear characteristics, is chemically resistance, and is inert to rubber and polymer materials.

It is operable at a residual pressure of 666,5 Pa in the temperature range from minus 60 to 150 Celsius degree.

2. Safety requirement

2.1 The CIATIM-221 is not very active doesn’t impact on the body a toxic effect, doesn’t irritate the skin and mucous membranes.

The ultimately permissible concentration of the fluid base of the grease in the air of the operating area is 10 mg/m3.

2.2 While operating with the grease it’s necessary to use personal protective equipment according to industry standards approved with established order.

2.3 Persons working with the grease must wash the hands with warm water and soap before eating, smoking, and after ending of work.

2.4 The grease is not flammable or explosive, is combustible product of the IV group. The flash point of the grease of the fluid base is above than 265 Celsius degree.

In case of fire apply, the following fire extinguishing means are used: the compositions CI-VK, CI-2 and SGB-BF-2.

3. Acceptance rules

3.1 The grease is taken in batches. A batch is considered to be a quantity of grease weighting up to 1000 kg, homogeneous on the quality indicators and accompanied by a quality document.

3.2 The volume of samples is determined according to GOST 2517.

3.3 If unsatisfactory test results are obtained for at least one indicator, repeated tests are performed on a newly selected sample take from the same sample.

The results of repeated tests are distributed to the entire batch.

3.4 The indicator “Evaporability at 150 Celsius degree” the manufacturer determines at the request of the consumer.

4. Test methods

4.1 Samples are taken according to GOST 2517. For uniformed grease take 2 kg of grease. In case of disagreement in the assessment of the grease quality, the sample must be stored not less than 5 years.

4.2 Analyze of the grease for compliance of the requirements of this standard, except for mechanical impurities contents, is carried out before its packing. Mechanical impurities are determined in the grease packed in a container.

4.3 When determining the appearance of the grease is applied with a spatula on a glass plate according GOST 111 size 50x70x2 mm using a template (internal dimensional 35x35 mm, thick 2 mm) and viewed with the naked eye in passing light.

4.4 The corrosion test is carried out on the copper plates grades M0K or M1k according to GOST 859-2001. It’s allowed discoloration and weak reddish-brown staining of the plates.

4.5 When determining the colloid stability, the ashless filter is wetted with the 132-24 liquid according to GOST 10957-74. Depressurization of the grease is carried out at a load (200+/-10) g.

4.6 When determining the mass fraction of alkali, as a grease solvent is used the toluene clear for analysis according to GOST 5789-78 and titrate the hot grease solution.

4.7 When determining of mechanical impurities, the grease suspension is thoroughly is mixed until a uniform mass is obtained with 75cm3 of gasoline. The mixture is transferred to a separating funnel, add 75 cm3 of 50-% acetic acid according to GOST 61-75, and mix vigorously until the grease completely decomposes. After standing and separating the layers, the bottom acetic acid layer is filtered. When ending of filtration, the filter is washed three or four times with hot distilled water and dried in a thermostat, then a layer of gasoline solution of the grease is filtered through the same filter.

5. Packing, labeling, transportation and storage

5.1 Packing, labeling, transportation and storage of the grease is carried out according to GOST 1510-84 with the follow addition: the grease is packed in banks made of white tin with, or at the request of consumers in aluminum tubes without coating, or with an inner coating phenol-polyvinyl acetate BF-2 glue according to GOST 12172-74 with a capacity 40-200 grams.

Tubes with grease are packed in plank or plywood boxes in rows, between the rows must be gaskets of cardboard or paper.

Gross and net weight aren’t indicated on the tubes. The batch number, month and year of manufacture of the grease are applied with a stamp.

5.2 The grease must be stored in the manufacturer’s container.

6. Manufacturer’s guarantee

6.1 The manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the grease the requirements of this standard if the storage and transportation conditions are met.

6.2 The warranty period for storing in the manufacturer’s container of the grease is 5 years from the day of manufacture.
